Dr. Hugo Caicedo is a member of the Global Medical Development and Accelerated R&D Executive Leadership program at Lilly. Previously, he worked at BMS and J&J. As an MIT Connection Science Fellow, Dr. Caicedo took MBA classes both at the Sloan School of Business and Harvard Business School (HBS) and did research with faculty director and Sloan professor Dr. Alex "Sandy" Pentland, HBS’ Sr. Associate Dean Dr. Gary Pisano and HMS’ Dr. Daniel Hashimoto, exploring the impact of social physics on healthcare, prevention medicine, and business. His work generated actionable thought leadership, including a published article in the journal Nature Biotechnology. As a practitioner, Dr. Caicedo has broad biopharmaceutical experience both in preclinical and clinical development for oncology, hematology, and neurology. He holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering (focused on Molecular Neuroscience) from the University of Illinois at Chicago & Sorbonne Université in Paris and a postdoctoral research fellowship from Harvard Medical School (HMS).
